Hi everyone. A quick status update again. I’m alive, just fell off the map last year. It was pretty rough in the second half — I had a long bout of bad anxiety and was very depressed. I’ve been doing a lot better since the turn of 2025. I think the New Year did me some good, and these days I’m feeling a lot more positive about things.

What have I been up to while I was gone?

Well, last August I went to TF Nation and camping. I’ve continued hanging out with my friends. Watched a few shows, read a few books, saw a few movies. Perhaps I’ll review one or at least jot down my thoughts on them. This year I’m working on a cosplay of Wheelie from Transformers G1 out of cardboard and hot glue. I haven’t made a cosplay in forever, much less a robot! Will post about it soon.

I’m also back into TTRPGs again, as of May. We can actually blame Oblivion for that. Yes, the Bethesda game, whose Remastered edition came out and I had a load of fun watching my favourite streamers (shout out Vinesauce) relive the journey… and yet I couldn’t help but think how restrictive the game are, particularly Skyrim. It feels like a wasted potential.

So I strapped in and back dove into TTRPGs, especially solo-play. I’m moving away from D&D, for reasons I’ll outline in a future post. I’m having a lot of fun — it’s a creative outlet, it feels better for me than watching YouTube all day. I’m enjoying the variety of non-D&D games; right now I’m really into OSR especially OSE, and I’m starting games of Mutant Year Zero and UESRPG, just small things with close friends (who aren’t as into TTRPGs so it’s a bit of a kick to get them to play something new but hey).
